Fire Damages Some Came Running Courthouse in Madison, Indiana

Wednesday night, fire heavily damaged the Jefferson County Courthouse in Madison, Indiana. As you remember, the courthouse was the backdrop for the opening scene of the film version of "Some Came Running." The Robinson Daily News had a story this week, with a photo from the opening scene of "Some Came Running" and a photo of the damaged courthouse from the same angle, but those do not appear to be on line. The renovation of the courthouse was just completed only days before the fire, according to newspaper articles. The roof was destroyed and fell into the third floor courtrooms. The charred dome is barely remaining.
